Tennis Court Time Pricing

Random court time may be reserved by "Court" members as much as 6 days in advance and "Fitness" members may reserve court time up to 2 days in advance. One hour of random tennis play is $18.00 + tax. Summer court time is FREE! June 1st to August 31st. Call 237-4805 to reserve a court.

Permanent Court Time

Permanent court time rates are discounted to $16.00 + tax per hour, versus the $18.00 + tax random court rate. Permanent court time may be reserved with our Director of Tennis, Jerry Caulfield. Court fees are paid for the entire session at the start of play. This session of permanent court time will continue through May 25th, 2008. Call Jerry Caulfield at 237-4805 to reserve court time.

Star Tennis and Maximum Performance (MXP) Tennis Academy

Courts Plus Fitness Center offers two separate junior academy programs. To find out more about these two programs, click here.

Junior Tennis Lessons

Star Junior Tennis Lessons are perfect if you are just starting to learn the game of tennis! This program is structured to provide an opportunity for beginning players (preschool age to 12th grade) to learn the basic skills and principles of the game as quickly as possible. Our emphasis is on FUN, fitness and skill development. Lessons will include drills and fun games to test and improve individual skills. Tournaments

Courts Plus Fitness Center, in association with the United States Tennis Association, hosts a number of USTA Sanctioned Tournaments. We would encourage all tennis enthusiasts to play or simply view some of the areas best adult and junior players battle it out. Tip of the Month

If you look at most of the top players, they all have topspin second serves. In order to do a topspin second serve you first need to have a continental grip. Then your ball toss should be behind you and slightly to the left. Then as the ball is dropping you need to brush up the back of the ball from the 7’0 clock position to the 1’0 clock position. Don’t hold back, accelerate that racquet head!
